Hydrogen Peroxide teeth whitening?

3

A few people I know say that you can rinse your mouth with 3% Hydrogen Peroxide after you brush your teeth twice a day and it whitens your teeth. It definitley DID whiten their teeth, but I was wondering-
How long does it take for results?
How expensive is a bottle?/Where can you buy it?
and most importantly, Is it safe?
I wont use it if it’s going to destroy my enamel or something. Haha, thanks!

I’m not sure about using that, but I’ve heard that you can use baking soda and brush with it after you brush regularly and it can whiten your teeth.

Hydrogen peroxide (h2o2) is a weak acid with oxidant properties and is commonly used as a bleaching agent by most dentists. Hydrogen peroxide acid can be easily bought from the local pharmacy stores and if used correctly, it can be an effective way to whiten your teeth at the comfort of your home.

Hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening can be done in numerous ways because almost every teeth whitening products available in the market contains the acid. It has been routinely and safely used in the process of teeth whitening by dentists from all over the world for years. In typical hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening solutions, you will find a strength of 2% to 10% with varying degrees of effectiveness.

To create your own at-home teeth whitening solution, a popular method is to rinse your mouth with 3-5% strength of hydrogen peroxide solution after brushing your teeth every day. For added whitening benefits, you may want to consider switching to a whitening tooth paste and also use at-home teeth whitening kit (whitening strips, at-home mouth trays) along with the hydrogen peroxide mouth wash for a quicker and effective result.

It is important to know that although hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening is considered to be safe and effective by the American Dental Association, you may experience gum sensitivity when using the acid. Although the side effect is usually temporary, you should notify your dentist immediately if it persists for a prolonged period of time.

Hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening has already proved useful by many people and it should also work for you. It is also important to know that this method takes time to see any noticeable effect if you are only using it as a mouth wash. If you want to have your teeth whitened before your wedding, or a date– you should seriously consider in-office dental treatments. Although in-office treatment is very expensive, you should be able to see results almost immediately.

If you have at least 1 to 2 weeks before your big party and do not want to spend a ton on teeth whitening treatments—you should combine hydrogen peroxide mouth wash with at-home teeth whitening treatment (eg. at-home teeth whitening trays) as it contains just about the same chemicals that are widely used by dentists for in-office treatment. You can expect to see almost immediate effect (usually 1-2 shades lighter) after 1-2 days of using it.

We highly recommend getting Vibrant Whitening at-home teeth whitening tray to work with the routine as It contains high concentration of hydrogen peroxide with customizable mouth trays plus ultra withening light–a perfect combination to get your teeth whitened in no time!
